While Every Castle Has A Story, Not Every One Has A Happy Ending.
As time marches on, more and more of these elaborate architectural marvels are being lost to development, fire and decay. Some of them have remained in the hands of caring owners who have lovingly maintained the properties for years. Others have changed hands or been donated to the state, county, universities, religious or charitable organizations and even preservation societies. Sadly, others have been left abandoned with only a glimmer of hope for survival. Those few that are rescued get a another chance and I applaud those who fight to keep these architectural wonders alive.
